Heather holds a National Certificate in Counseling, Washington Mental Health Counselor license, and a Masters in Education, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. With 11 years of experience in the field as a therapist, college and career counselor, and high school counselor, she brings her rich experience working with diverse backgrounds and varied age groups to the therapeutic space.

Janelle Woffinden (she/her) MEd, LMHCA, ESA, RA Mental Health Counselor  

Professional Background

Janelle holds a Master's degree in Education in Counseling, a Washington Mental Health Counselor Associates license (LMHCA), and a license in Program and Principal Administration. With 10+ years experience working with school-aged children, she has developed expertise in supporting their social, emotional, and mental health needs. Her experience includes working with siblings of children with disabilities and assisting parents and caregivers in navigating the various environments that children encounter.

With over a decade of experience with adolescents, he brings both expertise and energy into the counseling space. Alec is passionate about supporting youth from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and gender backgrounds and supports each client within the context of their experience. His 10+ years of coaching experience includes: coaching basketball at the collegiate level as a graduate assistant, coaching high school basketball, and middle school track.

Therapeutic Approach

Person-centered therapy is at the core of Alec’s work with clients. This research-based lense, focuses on providing a compassionate, judgement-free space to build meaningful relationships and collaborate with clients to create a personalized plan for growth. Alec also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) into therapeutic sessions.

Alec believes that all clients already have inner strength and deserve to have a community that upholds them when it’s too much to cope with alone. This means walking alongside clients and seeking to create a space where they feel heard, seen, and cared for, no matter what challenges they are facing.
